- Heat Loads
Heat load calculations are a very important tool HVAC designers use to strategically plan for new equipment. Simply stated, heat load calculations are used to determine the sizes of lines and motors driving the flow of fresh and return air in a facility, and consequently the pressure it is under as it traverses the system. Heat originates from a variety of sources that must be taken into consideration, including: the sun, human habitation, outside air temperature, and most importantly heat generated by process equipment and machinery.
The starting point in carrying out an estimate both for cooling and heating depends on the exterior climate and interior specified conditions. However before taking up the heat load calculation, it is necessary to find fresh air requirements for each area in detail, as pressurization is an important consideration.
In modern buildings the design, installation, and control systems of these functions are integrated into one or more HVAC systems. Phosphating is an important stage of the pretreatment process. Once the surface finishing or treatment of the product is complete, the phosphate liquid forms a coat on the metal surface, which in turn becomes an integral part of the product. This phosphate coat develops on the metal exterior, and makes the surface more adaptive to the paint to be sprayed on it.
